Last Man Standing
Last weekend was Week 2 of our annual GAA National League Last Man Standing competition.
There are just 37 out of 172 entrants left in the main competition and 29 remaining in the second chance competition. Longford’s surprise football defeat to London was responsible for most of last week’s casualties.
Fixtures for Week 3, which is hurling only, will be sent to participants in the coming days.

Jersey Night
Our Jersey Night fundraiser in Paddy Ryan’s, Horseleap last Saturday proved to be a resounding success.
There was a great turnout for the event which saw Colm Heffernan, Mark Geoghegan, Sabrina Nannery and Louise Whelan win prizes for best jerseys. A huge thank you to Paddy Ryan’s who looked after everything from decorating the venue in Kilbeggan colours to providing the music. They also gave a donation to the club which was very much appreciated.
Scór Sinsear
Are you over 17 and interested in taking part in Scór Sinsear? If so, we would love to hear from you.
The Westmeath county final takes place in The Downs GAA Centre on Saturday, March 7 and now is your opportunity to try out some singing, dancing, storytelling, acting or be a part of a quiz team. The quiz will precede the stage competitions at 5pm.
You can register your interest before Friday, February 20 by texting 087 945 8045.
Couch to 5K
Our Couch to 5K initiative led by club members Anna Wrafter and James Fox continues every Wednesday at 7pm in MJS Builds St James’ Park until February 11.
As part of this programme, we’re incorporating the Irish Life Steps Challenge, so every walk or run you do helps build our club total. Download the Irish Life app, log your walks or runs, and help us hit 4,000km steps collectively — once we do, we’re entered into a draw to win a share of €30,000 in club funding.
Numbers are growing every week so why not join in for the last two weeks?
Lotto
Lotto
Last week’s lucky numbers were 7, 10, 17 and 20. There was no jackpot winner. The Match 3 winner was Shauna Ryan.
The jackpot has been capped at €15,000 until it is won again. Make sure to buy your tickets online or at Centra, Mee's Costcutter and Whelan’s. Thank you for your continued support.
Happy birthday
Congratulations to former club stalwart Dan Scally who celebrated his 80th birthday with family and friends in New Forest Golf Club last Saturday night.
